“…download the PDF file”
<<rewind<<
For the past two years I have been a big fan of Studio83 Magazine. Visiting the site on the daily, commenting on everything and inviting all sorts of people to check the site out. I read the magazines and I read them again. Then I downloaded them and read them over. Many called it obssesion but, Studio83, for me was like a love at first site situation and I fell for it hard and head first.
I was on a mission, a mission to become a member of the Studio83 family.
This dream materialised when I got a chance to write an article for Celebrate Life Magazine the excitement that shot through my body the day CL dropped woo you can’t even begin to imagine.
The next day; faster than the speed of light I logged on… and there she was, so soft in her colours, inviting, so mature with just the right amount of sexy. [In my mind the sound track Prototype – Outkast]
A smile wrapped my face tightly whilst tears rolled down it hysterically. My hands were shaking, my mouth dry and tongue heavy.
On the home page was the cover of the magazine” hmmm it looks great” I said aloud. The blogs look great too, I love the Chicken Licken post. I thought to myself, but where is the Magazine??? Is it not up yet? How can CL go live before the magazine is finalised? What’s going on here?
I remember that day like it was yesterday, I spent the rest of it feeling anxious. Like where is the mag? Once all my lectures were done I rushed home. Logged onto the site again and guess what? Still no magazine. I email GG on some “why the hell isn’t the magazine on the site? Kanti what kinda games are we playing here?” (lol but not in those words)
He emailed me back “download the PDF file” and I was like OH!
It felt like the air was punched out of my lungs… and I was like oh yeah download the pdf. How could I forget to download the pdf? It’s like wanting to read a book but forgetting opening it. I fell onto the bed and roared with laughter.
It’s funny that in a single moment of glee one can forget/block a lifetime of habit.
