So we wrote this post Girl Meets Boy... and a "He" called "ntja" had quite an interesting response, we thought:
"its irrational how we go from wanting to share every possible hour in a day and be in the same bed every night to not wanting to be in the same province ever again. but relationships, when you're really into someone, are hardly ever totally rational by nature. its easier to be more rational and calculating if the attraction was
never really there for you; ask your neighbourhood player or gold-digger.
attraction sets off a chemical process which takes over every function of the mind, body and soul. its like a drug; attraction oil. all of a sudden things we do everyday out of habit become difficult to do. the side effects of attractinoil include; loss of appetite(which my later manifest as highly increased appetite when things get comfortable), reduced mental performance.
you may catch yourself blankly staring at a colleague's earlobe for hours totally unable to think and turning yourself into the office freak. laughing at jokes that would ordinarily induce nausea just because they are coming from her. showing more tolerance with her opposing political/spiritual or social view points and having the time of your life doing this.
but like all drugs, the effects of attraction oil wear off, eventually. the fading of the hazy and rosy feeling of attraction brings into focus the true nature of the relationship you're in.
if you're lucky you can actually stand the person you're with and there are grounds for a continued relationship. often, though, you dont. this may be both parties but the effects are only severe
if this is true for one party.
the fact the the come done is so severe does not mean that the high was not enjoyable. but the irrational nature of all this whole boy-girl, girl-girl, boy-boy, girl-girl-boy situation means that the loathing will always be there, at least momentarily. sometimes it helps to think that a totally decent human being is the antichrist to help things along."

We of the mind that, as valuable your opinion is, you are willing to stand by it?
